Strictly Come Dancing star Alex Scott has consistently been performing well on the BBC talent show, however, she has had some low weeks with partner, Neil Jones. In the coming weeks, the pair need to be “careful”, says Craig Revel Horwood.
Alex, who has been partnered with Kevin Clifton for the past couple of weeks while Neil recovered from an injury, needs to improve across the board if she wants to stay in.
Craig gave his opinion on how the competition has been performing as they reach the half-way mark in this week’s Radio Times.
The hard-to-please judge said of Alex’s strengths: “She’s a former footballer so she doesn’t settle for mediocrity – but she’s also used to taking criticism.
“A lot of people might cry and whinge about it, but she is able to take in on board like a professional and use it to her advantage.”
Meanwhile, Kelvin Fletcher has opened up on his “Achilles Heel” in Strictly Come Dancing.
The former Emmerdale star has been performing extremely well throughout the competition but there’s one part of his routine that’s been his struggle.
Last weekend, Kelvin and his professional partner Oti Mabuse scored highly for their Viennese Waltz over the weekend, and It Takes Two host Rylan Clark Neal was keen to compliment him on his storytelling.
Kelvin explained: “I think in those situations because I’m always looking for the narrative and I think that will help me try with the movement.”
Speaking about how he still gets nervous, Kelvin added: “But with being a performer being an actor it doesn’t help with the nerves.
“I thought it would and that’s a bit of an Achilles Heel of mine because every Saturday night i’m getting so nervous and I’m trying to relax myself before we go in.”
Will Kelvin manage to control his nerves to go ahead and lift the Glitterball Trophy?
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One at 6.50pm.
