That was hard to watch. Jon did well to contain himself as much as he did. I doubt I would have been able to. Congress is a self interested cesspool of folks who don't care about the people and do not understand what it is to struggle just to live. Luckily, I can love this country and hove nothing but contempt for the government because they're not related. We are the people. We are the country. They have manipulated, swindled, stole and cheated their way to their lofty seats of power. Once the people realize that they are the ones holding them up, all that will be required is to let go.

Dear Jon Stewart, Your plea is eloquent, poignant and full of common sense…..but, alas, is it within the scope of possibility to ever get decent health care in the US……unless perhaps you run for office!!!!!

I do not care for Jon Stewart's political views but, I applaud his authentic and powerful plea to help our Nation's Heroes and their families. "They should not have to choose between living or a place to live."

The Bush administration helped mossad agents, along with loyal American and Israeli Zionists, to kill thousands of Americans, in an effort to demonize muslims, as well as manufacture consent from Americans to illegally occupy multiple middle eastern countries. This was all done so we can plunder their resources, establish MORE US military bases, and most importantly, help Israel get the land they claim was given to them by God. 🙄 Now it's almost 20 years later and we're still there, killing and being killed by fellow human beings that are just trying to defend their homelands.
Now YouTube is deleting channels and demonitizing others in an effort to stop the free flow of information that proves 911 WAS A MOSSAD JOB! They are adjusting the algorithms to push propaganda news outlets that will keep selling us more war, more lies, and more division!

wasn't this bill turned down when another party was the majority? Not trying to create one is better than the other. I am saying, to condemn this house because of what the last occupants did is kinda like passing the buck. If in fact, it was the last house occupants then that's who should be shamed, along with passing the bill…

i started calling the people on the house appropriations after reading about this. being that i'm in virginia i could call some of them who have offices out west as i read it when congress was done for the day. we should all do that when things like this happen. i disgraced them to their staff and told them to tell their bosses that they can be fired for not showing up to work just like the rest of us. man they're some arrogant people to do that to those who risked their lives for others. i tried to get the names of those who did not attend to publicly shame but it looks like they felt it on their own and passed the bill. Jon is great for this kind of work

First of all, why should this speech even have to take place? Kudos Mr. Stewart, good job. I believe it was powerful because it was delivered in a very non-partisan manner. Politicians could learn from this. The great center of this country is divided by the politics of the day even though the great center of this country yearns for leaders that find common ground and not those that seek to divide. When done well, it is inspirational. We need a moderate political "Messiah."
