Lucy Alexander, who hosted the BBC’s Homes Under The Hammer between 2003 and 2016, has been caught “trying out” the famous Strictly Come Dancing 2018 dance floor, causing a stir amongst fans.

The presenter was in the audience of the BBC One show last weekend, alongside former contestant and pal Ruth Langsford.

The This Morning host, 58, and the 47-year-old kept people updated on their evening online and there was no doubt they were having a great time.

The duo even went as far to do a ballroom boogie together in the middle of the studio, but thankfully there were no judges around.

Joining hands, Lucy and Ruth performed for the camera in the clip which was shared with the former’s 26,000 followers.

She captioned it: “Trying out the dance floor on last night’s @bbcstrictly… feels good! Thanks @ruthlangsford what a fantastic night!”

Many asked if she was gearing up to take part, despite the latest run still being in full flow.

“Are you warming up the dancefloor for next year’s Strictly? Would love to see you on dance floor.”

Two others continued: “U should do it next year Lucy,”(sic) and: “Your turn next year Lucy!”

“With that leg kick you HAVE to be on next year’s @bbcstrictly,” a fourth added.

Wearing her blonde tresses down, Lucy stuck to all black in the form of a sparkly blouse and fluffy jacket.

Ruth stood out in a crisp white blazer and sequinned top, which she wore with a pair of dark trousers.

Just hours earlier, the daytime host shared another clip as they made their way to the London studio.

“We don’t get out much,” she quipped. “Strictly here we come! @bbcstrictly #saturday #outout.”

Meanwhile, it was later in the night that Lucy appeared to reveal her allegiances to one contestant in particular.

“What a weekend I’ve had – lovely to meet you @joe_sugg and chat about your amazing @bbcstrictly journey! #teamjoesugg,” she stated.

Lucy was seen posing backstage with YouTuber Joe, who was still wearing his stage make-up and a bright pink T-shirt.

Ruth also added: “Great night @bbcstrictly with @mollieking & @lucyalexandertv Out WAY past our bedtime!!”

Before writing: “And then we woke up!!!!! Just a bit of fun @bbcstrictly with @mollieking & @lucyalexandertv last night! x #saturday #strictlycomedancing #friends #fun,” as they pretended to be taking part.

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 continues tomorrow at 7pm on BBC One.
