Game of Thrones: Arya Stark revealed plan to kill the Night King in season 6 | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Game of Thrones fans did not expect Arya Stark (played by Maisie Williams) to kill the Night King (Vladimir Furdik) in the show’s final season.

While many signs pointed towards Jon Snow (Kit Harington) doing the dirty work, he was trapped in a screaming contest with a dragon.

With no one else left to kill the evil tyrant, Arya used her ninja skills to leap out of the night and onto the Night King’s back – only for him to grab her mid-flight.

Luckily for the cunning killer, she dropped her drawn dagger and drove it deep into his gut, ending his reign of terror once and for all.

Unfortunately for her, though, fans of the show weren’t convinced by the deus ex machina that was her appearance.

But as the plot thickens, fans have now been tipped off by Vladimir that the killing blow was actually signposted seasons ago.

Earlier this week the actor posted a GIF of Arya jumping off a bridge in season six, whilst she was running from the Waif (Faye Marsay)in Braavos.

The GIF then switches to Arya’s leap from behind the Night King, showing the exact same form, and insinuating she had used this leaping technique previously.

Vladimir captioned the image: “A girl learned from her training. @Maisie_Williams #GameOfThrones.”

Some of the show’s fans weren’t convinced, though, as they began asking more questions about the murder in question.

One asked: “Yeah the only thing I didn’t understand was WHERE THE HELL DID SHE COME FROM?”

Another commented: “Oh, but in the first shot she is jumping from a building. When she killed you, she was just flying.”

Recently viewers have been rifling through the source material books looking for any secrets or tip-offs about the show’s ending.

This week it was pointed out one of Bran Stark’s (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) early passages alludes to him claiming the Three Eyed Raven powers.

It also looks like it tips viewers off about the death of Robb Stark (Richard Madden).

The passage describes how Bran felt following his run on the rooftops of Winterfell, shortly before he was paralysed by Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau).

It concludes: “It made him feel like he was lord of the castle, in a way even Robb would never know.”

Obviously this new perspective could be taken as his upcoming powers received from the former Three Eyed Raven.

It could have also been alluding towards the death of Robb, which was not too far away.

Game of Thrones is available on digital download now.
