A few months back when Mick (played by Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) announced they had won Best Pub in London 2020, the Queen Vic’s punters were thrilled to be invited to a boat party on the River Thames to celebrate. Little did they know that it would all end in tears with fights, gun shots and a sinking boat. One Walford resident is due to be killed off on Friday night and it looks like another character could be in danger.
In tonight’s (Thursday, February 20) show, the focus was on the Mitchells and Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) holding Callum Highway (Tony Wells) hostage in an abandoned warehouse.
In a desperate attempt to get his boyfriend back safely, Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) kidnaps pregnant Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) and holds her hostage in the funeral parlour.
When Keanu heard the mother of his unborn child has been taken, he runs to her aid, leaving Callum tied up in the dark.
Will Callum Highway die in Eastenders?
While all of the drama is being carried out both on board the boat and back in the square, Callum takes it upon himself to try and get out of the situation.
Thankfully, he is finally able to get his shackles off after wearing them down bit by bit whenever Keanu wasn’t around.
He gets up and starts to look around the warehouse for an exit so he can go find boyfriend Ben.
Unfortunately, nothing is ever that simple when it comes to Eastenders.
Back on the Thames, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) finally catches up with Keanu and is ready to shoot him.
There was a moment where it looked like he could spare him but when Shirley Carter (Linda Henry), who was sent to find Callum at the warehouse which Keanu directed him to, could see no sign of Ben’s boyfriend, Phil once again loses the plot.
The pair fight on the top deck of the boat until Phil manages to pin Keanu down to the ground.
Some of the guests thought they heard a gunshot in the previous episodes and tonight it was revealed Phil shot the gun by accident at one of the boat’s glass windows.
But when Phil is ready to get rid of Keanu for good, Ben appears and pulls a gun out himself and aims it at his father.
With Callum still nowhere to be seen, Ben needs Keanu alive so he can help find him.
But will Phil stop and listen to his son or will he get the revenge he’s been waiting months for?
Eastenders continues tomorrow night, Friday, February 21, at 8pm on BBC One.
