EastEnders spoilers: Kat Slater to steal Hayley Slater’s baby? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

EastEnders was full of drama this evening on BBC One as Hayley continued to struggle with being a new mum.

Hayley Slater (played by Katie Jarvis) was still unsure on whether she could raise her baby on her own and she left him on the doorstep of the Ahmeds.

They stepped up and looked after the child for a while, yet they started to get worried when he started coughing up blood.

They rushed him to the hospital and told Hayley she should join them there, which she did eventually do.

However, after they’re told the baby is fine and pleading with social services to let her keep the child, Hayley ends up going off with her mother, Bev Slater (Ashley McGuire).

This greatly upset Hayley’s cousin Kat (Jessie Wallace), yet she seemed to be too afraid of her mother to go against her wishes.

Kat then reached out to take the baby from Bev’s arms, and there was a rather worrying moment in which Bev pretended to drop the baby.

Kat was incensed Hayley would let her mother control her, and she felt the baby would do better being brought up with the Slaters.

Could this be the start of a dark plot in which Kat tries to kidnap Hayley’s baby?

There have already been implications Hayley is not fit to be a mother and social services will be keeping a close eye on her.

It wouldn’t be very difficult for Kat to frame her cousin and Bev in order for the child to come to them.

It would be an incredibly dark turn of events, yet Kat cares about Hayley’s child and knows what Bev is capable of.

There’s also the fact that Hayley’s child is a product of a one-night stand with Kat’s estranged husband, Alfie Moon (Shane Ritchie).

Once this little nugget of information comes out, Kat might be more determined to make sure the child doesn’t end up in the wrong hands.

The Slaters are in an incredibly difficult situation, and there’s a huge rift in the family.
