Celebrity Apprentice sadly came to an end tonight and it has certainly been an enjoyable mini-series.
Famous girls went head-to-head with famous boys and in-keeping with International Women’s Day, it was the female team who came out on top.
The girls managed to bag a seriously impressive £254,326 for Comic Relief while the boys managed a respectable £126,790.
And as is the process on The Apprentice, Lord Alan Sugar still took it upon himself to fire someone.
After a discussion, project manager of the boys, Rylan Clark Neal, decided to bring in Sam Allardyce and Omid Djalili back into the boardroom.
While considering the reasons for losing, Lord Sugar said: “Rylan, you set out wrong – the girls, in their first session, they had it mapped out.
“You didn’t have it mapped out and it was four hours before the show had to go on.
“The project manager is responsible for the overall task and as you know, I can’t forget that point.”
Looking towards football manager Sam, the mogul added: “Sam, you were supposed to be their trump card with all those millionaire football players, and I do not accept you couldn’t get hold of them.”
However, it became obvious later on how Omid and Sam were both to blame.
Lord Sugar continued: “I mean bringing in that balloon act, it was unbelievable – and for that reason, I do believe that you [Omid] are culpable. But Sam, the bad news as far as I’m concerned is that you didn’t pull your weight in this.
“But the good news is that I’m the first football chairman that’s not going to fire you.”
His eyes fell on Omid and it seemed inevitable the comedian and actor was going to be fired.
“Omid, you promised a lot, you delivered nothing really… You’re fired!”
However, the Mamma Mia 2 star wasn’t happy and decided to seize the opportunity for a gag.
Omid yelled back at Lord Sugar that he was fired, and then a rally between the pair began.
The comedian seemed to have given in and as he stormed out, he delivered the killer punch line.
Omid said: “I need to speak to my lawyers right now, thank you very much.”
All together, the Celebrity Apprentice candidates bagged over £380,000 for Comic Relief.
The Apprentice will return for a brand new series later this year.
